How RMT Direct Billing Massage Works

WARNING: even with direct billing PLEASE BE READY TO PAY IN FULL OUT OF POCKET if there is an issue with your insurer's online service interruptions or your specific policy’s billing eligibility, ONLY YOU can see your policy's terms (except if you have ICBC insurance, we can check for you) and how much you are eligible, PLEASE NOTE SOME PLANS MAY REQUIRE a PHYSICIAN'S PRESCRIPTION.

All of our registered massage therapists (except Elana Wu) at ClinicTherapy.com provide direct billing where we bill your insurer directly and you only pay the remaining amount for which you are not covered, or if your coverage is 100% of the treatment cost, there is nothing to pay at all. Please understand that there may be instances where direct billing won't be available for reasons such as insurer's online service interruptions, your specific policy’s billing eligibility, etc.

Please be ready to pay for the whole session cost in such instances. ClinicTherapy.com operates independently from all insurance companies, we have no way to check specific details of your policy (except for ICBC, but we are not affiliated with ICBC). Please contact your insurer for such details.

Many of our registered massage therapists provide direct billing to ICBC (Elana Wu does NOT provide any direct billing)

Please provide your ICBC claim number, date of accident and your adjuster's contact information in the note section right after booking your appointment.

As long as we have your ICBC adjuster's contact information and claim number, we will handle all of the billing for you, you will not need to pay anything or contact ICBC, we will do it for you. Please note we are NOT affiliated with ICBC, but we can communicate with ICBC and bill directly to ICBC instead of you having to submit the claims yourself.

You are automatically preauthorized for 12 visits total that must be used within 12 weeks from the accident date. If your accident was more than 12 weeks ago, please call us or ask your ICBC adjuster how to get approved for treatments.

You may be able to have more than 12 sessions in total

Just as long as you are not fully recovered, if your therapist determines that more treatments are needed, your therapist can submit for an extension which is subject to approval from ICBC. When there are only 2 - 4 pre-approved sessions left, we will submit an extension request. The extensions are usually approved but are not guaranteed. Each extension has maximum 12 sessions. There is no limit to how many extension requests can be approved. We will submit the extensions for you, you will not need to do anything extra.
